Welcome to Tír na nÓg Pre-School Centre. We hope you and your child will enjoy your time with us. We have compiled this information booklet to help you with any questions or queries you may have about the group. If you do not find the answer required, please do not hesitate to contact any member of staff who will deal with it confidentially.
Our aim is to provide appropriate play to allow learning opportunities for progression of development and adult support to help each individual child, regardless of race or special needs, to develop their abilities through the seven areas of learning.
The Pre-sehool Centre is a member of N.I.P.P.A. (Northern Ireland Pre-School Playgroup Association) and also registered with Social Services, who carry out regular inspections. We are also part of D.E.N.I (Department of Education for Northern Ireland) Pre-School Expansion Program.
The Centre operates from 09.15 am until 12.00 noon and because of insurance regulations we cannot allow children into the room before 09.l5 am. We would ask that all children be collected at 12.00 noon sharp. Holidays are set to tie in as much as possible with the local primary schools, they will be posted on-line, printed on the parents notice board in the hall and in the monthly newsletter.
Classes for term 2 will start on Wednesday 26th January. The school will hand out
accounts to the children on the first week the school has started.
Please return the envelope as soon as possible back to the school.
